I've never seen one (or anything newer than 54) that id call a rat rod but there's plenty of flat black trucks with red wheels running around.

Re: any ratrod 67-72 trucks out there
In all the years I've been involved with this site, I have never seen one if you go by the true definition of a "rat rod."
The term was and is used to describe a junker made to look like the old rods of the 40's, 50's and some of the early 60's. Most of the members here actually try to restore these old trucks and or improve them but try to keep them looking as stock as possible. If you're really interested in doing one, google "rat rod sites" you may find some in those places. Here's a post from this site of some years back. I wouldn't necessarily call the trucks rat rods since they don't meet the description above but it's close. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=334066

Re: any ratrod 67-72 trucks out there
Had some of the local classic car dummies call mine a rat rod truck because I refuse to paint it, side exhaust, steel wheels, their logic, eh?
I'd think it would have to be rusty, flat black, slammed, painted steel wheels, moons, red fuzzy dice, roadster seats, beer keg gas tank in the bed maybe? Seriously I don't think there really is such a thing, at least I haven't seen one YET.

Re: any ratrod 67-72 trucks out there
I've actually been considering picking up a cab & doors to do a rat rod style truck just because it would annoy a few people.
I know it would be ugly but so am I. 6" chop with open roof, shifter at least roof height. maybe even center steer. dually rear axle with the tires as close to the cab as possible. there is a Pontiac straight 8 for sale locally that would look right sitting out front. drop tube front axle way out front and most importantly a pair of tattooed hotties riddin shotgun
