Brush Guard Grille Guard Cattle Guard

I am cleaning my barn and keep finding stuff I had forgotten. I don't remember anything about this brush guard. Does it look familiar to anyone? It seems kind of weird, but I believe it is vintage. It is much heavier than I expected.

And, Yes I know it belongs on the other end of the truck.

I've never seen one that was bolted together like that before. That thing must be pretty old. Neat piece!

Re: Brush Guard Grille Guard Cattle Guard

I bought a guard from a fellow member. He just wrote my address on it with a sharpie and shipped it as is! No box or anything. If any Fed Ex guy did throw it, God help whatever it landed on!

The thing still has the "Luverne" sticker on it and it's 61 pounds! 1/4" steel all over.

I guess I'll use it....I am fearful of a deer hit.

I don't think that's a Luverne,or it's another style than the ones I'm familiar with. I think that one is a Clampett (Get it? Clamp-it?...sorry...I dunno)

I think you might be dating yourself there Tim. Wasn't Jed Clampett from back in the 1960's?

I prefer to be dated to better times . Actually, never heard of him till I got one of those new satellite TVs they just came out with that has 1,000,001 channels including reruns of the old shows. I thought it was a newer show because it was in color!
