This is one slick engine bay! You, sir, have set the bar awfully high for those of us who desire a clean looking setup. I love the way you have hidden your plug wires and steering shaft.

I will definitely be using some of your ideas on my Chevy!

This is a B-E-A-U-tiful set up! I really love the detail on the Cadillac batwing air cleaner.

It looks like the modified engines have the stockers outnumbered about 10-1, here is mine,

Re: Lets see some 1960 - 1966 engine bays

Somehow my picture appears to have broken. I will have a more recent picture soon. Hopefully right after I get it running. I am pretty close to firing it up, but of course I didn't have any time to work on it while the weather was still nice.

Re: Lets see some 1960 - 1966 engine bays

A bit of a "before" picture. The air cleaner is new, as is the master and brake booster. The motor is a 400 that was installed by the P.O. with the wrong flywheel, so that was a bit of a distraction. The P.O. also installed some sort of solid lifter cam so it would "sound better at cruise nights". Since not having to set valves trumps sounding good at a cruise night, the cam will go. I do want to get the truck registered first and a few miles on it so I can determine how good the rest of the motor is. I have a feeling that years of unleaded in this early (3 freeze plug) 400 has damaged the valve seats. If the rest of the motor is good (oil pressure is fine) I'll probably just do a top end on this and be done with it.
