Re: 1969 C10 SWB - Big Block project

The Racelines are an older style as I understand it but I saw a picture of the brushed face idea online and it just seemed to fit the image of my finished truck.. I reached out to Travis and he called them to see if they still had the programming to cut them. They did.. it just worked out. Travis didn't have to go to this much trouble but he was happy to do it.

Jason, you heard any more on yours? I like the C57 too!

I've got my fingers crossed Chad, they said 2-3 weeks and next Monday will be three weeks. I'm not going to call till next week. It kind of worries me a little with some of the horror stories about Coy's . Your truck is going to look good no matter what color of the three you choose.

Re: 1969 C10 SWB - Big Block project

See what you think fellas ..

This is my rear bed panel. Dad painted it yesterday, we're just experimenting with colors right now. .. but, I REALLY like this one. 2008 BMW Ontario Gold. Code U57. This is the Chromabase equivalent. It really looks nice in the sun. Not really a metallic, but it is a pearl. Sweet, sweet color .. I love it. It will look really nice with Speedway white (2001~ish Z06 Corvette color) and full trim, Saddle and dark mahogany bedwood. What do you guys think?

This is right out of the gun by the way. It needs a little lovin, but overall I think Pop did a great job on it. Better than I could have done. Pearls are tough to shoot.

Here is Speedway white compared to just plain white. (Arctic White on the right)

That is an amazing color, especially in the sun. It is similar to the Anniversary Gold, but deeper and more reflective. I really like it... A LOT.

I really like those racelines (a lot). I'm just not sure a gold and white scheme would look very good on one of these trucks

Re: 1969 C10 SWB - Big Block project

Dad put one of my wheels on the front just to see what it might look like. Of course the fenders, tires, the weight of the truck etc.. it will look different sitting on the ground but this will give a general idea.

Me likey.. I actually like these wheels better than the Heritage wheels I had on that old rusty GMC. ..

The Gold color is very close to original (since I have an original to look at, though not in great condition...), and I vote for it. Can you buy all that original trim??? $$$???

I've seen several gold pickups that do not have the lower body painted white, I like those, too.
I wonder if the 2-3 I saw were original or repaints, through the years, via customer, body shop, or used car lot choice...???

The pickup in the picture looks great w/ the well done polish job. I would want my trim to be same!!!

I'm not a fan of the "big" tire setup's, but those look nice!!!

Keep up the good work!!!

I actually talk to him pretty regularly. He & Joy are doing well, just focusing on their home and family. Truck is still tucked in tightly in the garage. Fear not, I'm sure he will be back to work on it in a few months...
