I did paint the sun visor clip after modifying it a bit. Works good.

Hey Chuck

Your truck is really looking nice. Nice attention to detail.

And, you are right... when things start breaking it's time to take a break and step away. I think your luck and my luck are about the same.

LOL Its good to know I'm not the only one. I have been quitting quite a bit here lately .

I also got the drivers kick panel vent in. I didn't know it but the 68 vent is a little different than later yrs. The rod attaches higher on the vent panel. I don't know if I said this already but got the new switch in for the A/C and got it all wired up. Need to put the duct work on it. I tried soldering the old one just to see if I could save it. it didn't want to take the solder well. So I'm glad I ordered a new one.

Thanks Dean.

I got the frame rails, tranny and the temporary exhaust wrapped up and I'll spray the cab floor tomorrow with the bed liner coating. I will never do it like this again.
I'm too old to be rolling around on the floor this long lol

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

I would HIGHLY recommend covering the whole truck. I was only cleaning up the wheel wells in my mustang, and somehow overspray made it all the way to the back of the PS door (from front PS wheel well. That was a fun 3 hour clean up. This was inside a garage with no breeze. You just never know... I didn't mess around the 2nd time!

Came out nice. I need that done under mine too... you available?

Sorry about the F-word pic (at least the C10 is next to it) but I couldn't believe how far the dang overspray traveled. I covered the fender, hood, and half the PS door, AND I was in the garage the first time. At least it all came off, it was another lesson learned for me.

Any chance you're heading over to the hot rod power tour stop in Knoxville on Sunday?

I've learned a lot of lessons over the years. The hard way. I won't be making the tour this year but I hope to next year if it's close. My truck just needs too many little things to make it a fun trip. My ac needs gassed up. And I am sure I'll have some bugs to workout. I did drop a load on some parts in the last couple days. I should be able to drive it as soon as I get all this stuff done. I did manage to get my 68 tag legal to run today. I have to get it pretty much finished before I can send pics to my insurance co. Going w/hagerty. I did manage to put the rear window in solo. Turned out pretty good for aftermarket everything.

I had Hagerty when I had my Trans Ams. They were great to work with, and the price was incredible! Your truck is looking great. Hope I can break away soon to check it out. I really miss all my truck buddies!

Come on up brother. Hagerty seemed like a good deal. I finished up the door windows and the seals. I need to lube up the regulators and put the mirrors on.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

I'm waiting on the dynamat and carpet I ordered off of eBay. I got some kick panels w/speakers coming too. I need to buy a stereo also. I'm gonna wait on lowering it more. I need to get it rolling and enjoy it some.

My list is getting shorter.

Thanks Nate. I'm hard at it tonight. Lubed up the regulators and starting on the mirrors. Taking a break first tho.

Windshield is almost in. I'll wait til the sun comes out to finish it. May have to take it out and start over. Love windshields. Seats done.

Yeah but you know how it goes. Two steps forward one back. I can't get this windshield to cooperate. Its hard to do by yourself. Gonna take it to my guy. I got the filler hose buttoned up and the seats bolted down for the time being. I will concentrate on other things.
