Brake issue

Recently purchased 71 K-5. as you drive it the brake pedal gets harder to push but the braking doesn't get firmer. 1 out of every 10 times I apply the pedal I feel a shake/vibration in the pedal. No noise but a grind or a growl is how it feels. I have had a few with air in the lines but they had a flat spot in the braking. Could it be a booster issue. I plan on bleeding the brakes asap
Thanks

Re: Brake issue

Sounds like a booster, but also sounds like a great time to do front wheel bearings, axle u-joints (if needed) and a complete brake inspection. Kind of a gettin' to know you bonding adventure.
