2 THINGS:

1) Yes, without an absolute doubt to the Posi unit....do it!!
2) I've bought from that ebay seller and I recommend them. Great people to work with. I bought a True Trac for my 9".

I have one installed in my 69 Camaro and I have one sitting on the bench ready to go in my 72 GMC. The nice thing about this is when you are driving in a straight line, you get no slip at all.

I bought them off of eBay. They are plastic. I put dynamat on the back of them to make them feel different. It's overkill on it but it's not as plasticky feeling now. I like them. They were the only ones I found that had scrolls to match the seat and didn't have wood grain on them.

I like that unit but am unfamiliar with that. Is it rebuildable too? I got the eaton because it is. I will probably get another for my next build early on like when I get the motor /tranny. I hate going back and doing drive train/mechanical things at this point.

I assume it is, I've just never had an issue with the one in the Camaro. Unlike a posi unit, this thing absolutely locks up when your driving straight. No slip at all.

Got the rest of the wiring for the stereo ran. Mounted the din box in the console. Painted the console. Put the carpet in the cab. Will start pulling the wiring through in a while.

Hi Chuck,

The truck is looking excellent. I wanted to know if you were going to be around next week on Thursday or Friday. I will be in Chattanooga but will have time to drive up and meet you if possible. I sent a message out to Rus also. Let me know and maybe we can meet up. I would love to see that beautiful truck in person.

Take care,
Tom

Very nice work on the console Chuck, I still need to do the same thing to mine. You didn't happen to save the part number for that radio box? Keep the pictures coming.

There's a swap meet/show at the Nashville fairgrounds on Saturday, the 28th. Maybe some of us could meet up there and walk around.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

I had a great lunch w/my nieces and went and bought another head unit that takes a 3.5 on the rear. This ones a pioneer. I got it in case I want to hook that IR repeater. I think the phone control will be fine but we'll see. This will be the first time I've hidden a stereo. not sure its worth all the trouble. I found a steering wheel control but not sure if I'm going to got that route either.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

Today I did a job that I've been putting off for a while but it needed to be done today. I swapped out the heater hoses that were leaking. The ones I got from Auto Zone had small holes every like two to three inches. Well they leaked at those holes so I got a Gates hose from Napa. All together and no leaks. The in-laws came up so I didn't get much further.
