Aftermarket Subframe
Hello all haven't been on in a while, to busy. A few months ago found a link about a company that sells a subframe that replaces exsisting front clip that once welded on accepts gm g body suspension components. It's made for TF trucks and some mid fifties gm cars but I can't seem to remember where was. Has anybody seen this or know the name of the company. Ready to buy. Thanks in advance for any help

Great site with lots of goodies but that's not it, they only make them for cars and you have to buy all the components from them. The one I was looking for you just buy the subframe and get the suspension pieces from your local salvage yard. thanks friend

I don't think it s made anymore. There is a board member here that has it under his truck, its white, but don't remember his screen name.

It looks like he built his own subframe though as there is no mention of who it came from butb he did say that he 'assembled it on a table".
I think I saw an article in one of the truck rags about the subframe in question but don't recall a thing about it more than that. I'm not even sure what components were used on it. Scott turns out a great product if it fits in your budget. Danforth's crossmember using the C10 components is also gaining favor with more guys who like the idea of having truck pieces in a truck. Steve at Industrial Chassis in Phoenix will build you a front end using Dodge Dakota components or his own fabricated pieces http://www.industrialchassisinc.com/ I'd think his prices compare with Scott's pretty much straight across. Personally I'd rather use the stock frame and add on the crossmember and front suspenson and upgrade the rear suspension as I think it makes for a lot better truck in the long run unless you go for a whole custom fabricated frame like Morrison puts out.

RB's Obsolete, now out of business sold a bolt in clip, made be Kimbridge Enterprises, that used the G-body components.

when the 70-81 Camaro/Firebird subframe is so good and so plentiful it's hard to figure doing anything else. Stock parts are everywhere, corner carver goodies available at all the usual suspect vendors. I did mine in 93, still driving it today, no issues. My sub came from a 79 WS-6 T/A, steering is just over 2 turns lock to lock, has 1.25" stabilizer bar. What's not to like?

I have a Kimbridge clip (not selling it) and it is a real nice clip that accepts S10 A and G body parts which are almost falling off trees here.

I never heard much out of them after RB's packed up and moved to Arizona and then folded. A lot of car and truck goodie outfits folded about that time though.
