carburetor
Hey guys just a quick question, is it possible to remove this stud i have circled so i can install a solid bar style throttle linkage?

i just did a google search for quadrajet i have one from an 78 half ton i believe

Yes you can remove that stud. You'll need a cutting disc on a grinder though. Hacksaw won't touch it. It's hardened metal.

Do I want to grind off the rear rivet like piece or do I want to cut as close a possible to the arm?

THe one I did IIRC I cut it off on the front side close to the arm. Then punched the rest
out. Easier to grind/cut that way. |
