Brake problems
My right front caliper keeps locking up under moderate braking. The suburban has a new master cyl.The right caliper is hard to bleed. It takes a lot of force to pump the brake when bleeding, even with the bleeder backed out a couple turns!Time for a rebuild,or could it be the proportion valve?I never had a prop valve go bad.

Sounds like the brake hose to me, they collapse on the inside.

The proportioning valve on my burban is from a '77 and has a bleeder screw on it.I bled the prop valve and bled the calipers again. When I step on the brake with the lid off the master cyl'brake fluid shoots stait up and hits the underside of the hood. This is only from the chamber for the front brakes.

bleed the prop valve then try to bleed the calipers again but im really thinking its the line. Some parts fail early dont matter how old the lines are. only other thing that would make sense is that the caliper itself is full of garbage and is jammed, but 9/10 of the time its the line
