71 4x4 3/4 ton 6 lug???

Hi. I'm looking at a 71 4X4 and it has 6 lugs, shouldn't it have 8?? Vin info below...

KE241S621291


K = 4WD
E = V8
2 = 3/4 ton
4 = Pickup
1 = 71 (year)
S = St Louis


I appreciate any help..

perhaps a chassis swap. check the frame vin stamping. yes, should be 8 lug on a KE2
OR...
where are you getting the VIN from? SPID? VIN plate on door sill? If SPID, could be a glovebox swap. Or perhaps if SPID and metal tag match, a cab swap.

I looked at the truck Friday and had him text me the vin today (it's about 60 miles from me) and I think he got it off the title (seen in the pic) The SPID wasn't inside on the glove box door..

Yeah, something's been swapped. K10s had 6 lugs, K20s had 8 lugs.

All C/K20s were 8-lug. My guess is axles swapped. Next guess would be the title goes by the VIN-plate on the K/20 cab that was swapped onto the K/10.
