Track bar differences?

Swapping my 6 lug 69 6 lug manual brake rear end to this one off of my 72 power brake 5 lug rear. The black one is off the 72 rear end. Rusty one is off of the original 69 6 lug rear end. They're very different but looking at the rear ends, the mounts are same. You can see the sweep is very different and the rusty original 69 one sits a couple inches higher in the middle the way they're sitting in this pic. The black one seems to push the rear end over to the drivers side pretty hard. Any help or info? Thanks--- Joey

Re: Track bar differences?

It's bent, should be straight.

Re: Track bar differences?

I have been looking around and was 99% sure it was bent. Thanks for helping! They're all the same on the 12 bolts regardless of 67-70 or 71-72? If so I will just clean up the original and paint it.

Re: Track bar differences?

Is it possible the black one was bent to clear the differential?

This is all new to me, but I know some differential covers will interfere with certain panhard bars.

Re: Track bar differences?

I loaded and unloaded this truck with my big tractor with the hay spikes on the front end loader. I probably just had a spike under it when I picked it up from the back and shoved it on the trailer. I feel a little dumb LOL It's such a perfect bend I thought it was factory.
