The bottom goes on and has a flat bar that holds it down, then the filter and top are attached and you use the two wingnuts... the bar kinda looks like this:

5 1/8 neck standard 4BBL (have used it on my Holley and my Edelbrock) 14" diameter.

This thing is heavy, not a little toy at all.

Thanks for your answer. That was a nice piece. I couldn't gauge the size after seeing the picture with your arm in it. It looked like maybe a smaller 2bbl. Congrats on a great find
