Another Re-assembly question

Yesterday I began reassembling my freshly painted 87 R10 Step Side, the trucks has been completely gutted for 7 months. Well everything was going good until time to reinstall the dash cluster.... there is a three wire plug coming out the back of my speedometer that I don't remember unplugging and I can't find where it might go so I get out my LMC catalog and find out its a speed sensor. Is it needed? if so where does it go I'm 90% sure wasn't hooked up when I took it apart.

Re: Another Re-assembly question

Ok so it could be causing an idle problem? Well where does the other end of the plug I am looking for come from maybe I can start there and trace it back to the dash. I do not see it any where and i have a good view as the dash pad is not on there yet!

Look at Post #6 in the thread I linked. There's a picture. The VSS amp is in the mint green box.
