Power Steering on an LS swap 66 burb
Hey guys. Need some more info. If I buy a PS conversion kit will it work with the PS pump that is on my ls. Has anyone done this and if so what kit did you buy? Any other useful info would be appreciated.

I don't know about my competitors "conversion kits", but with my power steering box adapter plate, you simply need to purchase a '80-'87 C series power steering box. Those will have the Metric with O-ring hose fittings.

I have the LS power steering as most do. there is an adapter you can use or I believe that some guys just back out the screw in sleeve on the PS pump and screw in their high pressure side, the low is clamped on. examples of both

You don't need a kit really, just keep it all metric stuff. I used factory parts except for Captains mounting plate. Here are the parts I used;
-2002 LM7 stock PS pump. -Hoses from a '99 350 truck engine that I bent a little bit to fit under the inner fender. Both hoses thread right into the box and the High pressure line threads into the pump. The return is a slip fit onto the pump. -'85 PS box I bought from Rock Auto. It all just goes together with no adapters or fabrication needed short of getting the box mounted to the frame.
