700r4

SOLD SOLD SOLD

I bought a rebuilt 700R4 for my truck a few months back, but have changed my mind for the umpteenth time and bought a NV4500 instead. Note that I trusted the guy selling me the trans to be honest and I have not cracked the case to verify what's in it, but it has both the sticker and stamping from a well-known South Jersey rebuilder (Ziggy's) and after spending a lot of time with the guy either I'm very naive or he's honest and it's a good trans.

The story was he had a car in and the owner didn't pay for the work he did so he took the car on a mechanic's lien and parted it out.

Includes a flexplate, starter and driveshaft (from a Camaro) for this but no TC.

Happy to try to box and ship this but would greatly prefer a local buyer.

Specs as follows - asking $500/obo - that's what I paid for it:

Raybestos Stage 1 Frictions
•Complete steel module with .097" thick 3-4 kolene steels
•New Input Sprag
•New ACDelco Upgraded Complete Pump Assembly
•New Hardened Pump Rings
•New 13 Vane Pump Rotor
•High Performance Factory .500 Boost Valve
•Bushing Kit
•New Thrust Washers
•Heavy Duty Hardened "Beast" Sun Shell
•Reinforcement sleeve to strengthen input drum
•New ACDelco 5 pinion planetaries both front input and rear reaction
•New Low/ Rev Heavy Duty Spring and Roller
•Corvette Servo
•Wide Carbon-Fiber 2-4 Band with heavy duty anchors
•New ACDelco reverse input drum
•New updated performance valve body separator plate w/ Torlon check balls
•Remanufactured ACDelco "Corvette" calibrated valve body , auto/manual valve body modification, TCI TV cable, etc. All built into a seasoned, high performance case

Also have low hump, crossmember and non-tilt auto column (black) which I will be posting with pics and prices soon.

Re: 700r4

Ziggy has been rebuilding transmissions for a long time, mostly hi-performance, and I've only heard good things about his work.

Re: 700r4

Interested in this. Is it possible for a freight quote to 06405? Is this a 2 wheel drive?

Re: 700r4

Ah yes, thanks guys, this is a 2wd trans.

The best way to get freight is to go to uship.com. I could ship this from my office where we have a dock. Zip ther is 08648.

A 700r4 weighs 125lb dry and the starter and plate would add probably 20lb, then say 10 for the pallet. I could take the yoke off the driveshaft and put that, the starter and the flexplate into a box on the pallet. If you want the shaft I will box that up as a separate piece.

Uship will ask for dimensions. Figure the pallet is 36x48 and it would be about 24 high.

As a comparison, I bought my nv4500 from Champlain NY, on the Canadian border. That weighs 200lb. The low bid on uship was $116. Took about 2 days to get that bid. My inbox was like as episode of Shipping Wars LOL

Re: 700r4

The trans is currently in my storage unit. I'd have to get over there, which may take a day or two. Let me see if I can get there tonight or tomorrow and snap pics. Anything in particular you want to see? It kind of looks like a 700R4 from most angles.....

Re: 700r4

Okay. Sorry to be a pain. Just curious of the condition visually. Being that I will not inspect at this point a visual is better than nothing.

Re: 700r4

It's uship.com (not ship.com) and it shows in English for me.

Another site you can try is http://www.freightcenter.com/.

Failing that you can pick up the phone and start calling trucking lines.

Pics are here:

BTW I got PM from dbb1025 that he has yet to get a freight quote that works for him, so this item is still available to anyone who wants it.

Origin zip would be 08648. It is a commercial address with a loading dock.

Re: 700r4

Ask away. It came from the man who sold me the transmission, who stated that he spoke to Ziggy (the builder) and got it from him. In fact it was copied and pasted from him ad on CL.

Re: 700r4

Would you take 350.00 picked up? I know it is somewhat lowball, however, there is a risk involved.

Re: 700r4

would the driveline fit a 71 short stepper with a small block and 700r4? would you sell the driveline separate? I'm in NJ and can pickup today.

Re: 700r4

sorry i have no idea if the driveshaft will work for your application. I can measure it tonight and post the length.

BTW if you know the length you can pick up driveshafts at any junkyard cheaply. Would save you the 1.5 hour drive from where you live to where I live (Cherry Hill area).
