Re: _Ogre, calling _Ogre

ok, ok, I get it.

but the real question: what is that fluid reservoir on the firewall? I'm wanting to run a dual master with hydraboost off the stock bracket and use the stock pedal. I have the aftermarket M/C mount for the dual M/C but adding in the booster whether vacuum or hydraulic is going to push the M/C back under the front of the bed. Not real convenient for adding fluid. I need some kind of small reservoir like that, run a tube down to the M/C. I'm thinking to braze or weld a fitting to the top of the M/C cover.

Re: _Ogre, calling _Ogre

Thanks mr48chev, just what I needed.

Found this on a F* forum, looks like what I want. functional, no pizzaz. OP there sez it's off a 95 Nissan Quest, whatever that is. He found it on ebay.

Now let's see if the pics show up. They're on a F* forum, can't really be expected to work right.

i ended up using a nissan quest remote reservoir for my mustang mc

yes, i know... got to get rid of those chrome valve covers
If you do a little search function, you'll find that Ogre is very generous to give info on his beautiful hydroboost setup.

Re: _Ogre, calling _Ogre

Sorry about my last post. A little more explanation is in order. I have the speedway power brake system in my 57 and the vacuum booster and master cylinder are under the cab. The only way i can check the fluid is crawl under, take the cover off and stick my finger into the cylinder.

This is the url for the auto-x.org master cylinder cover and resevior

http://auto-x.org/master-cylinder-re...y-ford-wziqwa/

Where do I get one?

Re: _Ogre, calling _Ogre

you probably have a corvette style mc on the speedway kit
the kit you have linked to should work just make sure before ordering

truk uses a o3 mustang hydroboost setup with a plastic tank
same setup the factory5 kit cars use, i found the remote reservoir info on the factory5 forum
i used the nissan quest reservoir and the adapters, pull the tank out and insert the adapters
then ran teflon hose to the reservoir
