tire size question

Just wondering if you guys had much experience running a 255 75 15 tire on your trucks. I'm trying to get a little wider tire and taller to fill the wheel wells a little more. The truck is a 62 that's been lowered but i can always mess with ride height. Just wondering if you guys had some advice. Thanks!

Re: tire size question

What size tire are you running now? 255/75/15 is a pretty tall tire (30.1") for a lowered truck. It depends on how low it is and how it was done. I'm running 275/60/15 tires (28") all the way around and my truck is lowered with springs only and I'm still running drum brakes f&r. If the front tires are too tall tires you'll have to start worrying about clearance between the top of the tire and the bottom of the inner fender wells.
