LS Stuff

Once again asking for more advice. Trying to figure out the best motor mounts and headers for a 6.0 swap. I have looked throughout the forum and now my head is spinning at all the different choices. Looking for people that have experience with whatever they are recommending and any problems they have encountered. Thanks in advance.

Re: LS Stuff

I cut a set of adapters from steel plate that sets the stands in the six cylinder location and used 2010 stock Camaro manifolds. The particular setup I used required cutting and welding the stock engine stands, but it looks like using the mount pattern that puts the stands in the stock location would have avoided the need for this. The variant I used, however, would allow using a stock A/C compressor location if I can figure out what to do for the line fittings to clear the front framerail. See the build thread in my sig for details.

Re: LS Stuff

Best? Custom built specifically for your truck here you want your egine located. Everything else is a compromise, most people like the adjustability of dirty dingo mounts. Plenty of people running car manifolds, swap headers, and some car manifolds, or flip them over and run a front mount turbo.
