'65 C-10 No brake or tail lights

My wife was following me home the other night she called and said I had no lights on the back. Sure enough I get home see for my self and nothing.
Fuse is good. I replaced the bulbs even though they were not bad. Thought maybe I had a bad ground so I ran a new one of those. I'm awful at electrical therefore I'm stumped. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!

Do you have stock wiring? If so, check the bulkhead connector at the firewall for the rear harness. Those contacts are prone to corrosion. I had that exact problem on a '63 I had many years ago. Cleaned up the contacts and never had a problem with it again.

Re: '65 C-10 No brake or tail lights

Well you guys pointed me in the right direction. I went and pulled the plug on the firewall and to my surprise nothing is connected on the other side. I went a head and cleaned up the connections just as a precaution even though they were not really corroded since I was already there.

Plugged it up and sure enough lights even though the passenger side brake light is constant its better than nothing at all and Ill deal with that another day when I don't have kidney stones and a migraine.

I either did it installing a new temp gauge on accident or who knows what my kids might have done. Thanks for the help guys I feel dumb though

Is that brake light constant just when the lights are on, or constant all the time?
If it's just when the lights are on, turn the bulb 180 degrees in the socket.
