Sliding Back Window
Selling the sliding back window from my 72. It is excellent condition, I just prefer the look of the plain glass so I made the change.
It is tinted, has no rattles, no squeaks, no leaks. I believe this is an original GM window, not repop. Let me know if that is wrong. My 72 did not come with this option so it was added by PO. Asking $60 plus actual shipping charges. Paypal preferred but not required. * * * * SOLD to Stormbear

Re: Sliding Back Window
Interested - what would shipping look like to 59901? Also, is one pane embossed with the following logo and are the frame pieces attached by screws in the lower corners? Thanks, Pete

Re: Sliding Back Window
DeadheadNM,
the shipping estimator for FedEx is approx. $55. I cannot find a logo and there are no screws that I can see. Does that mean it is not an OEM window ? Please let me know within 24 hours if you are still interested. . Thanks

Re: Sliding Back Window
Larry thanks, sorry two last questions fellas: are the frame joints (arrow in pic) welded and is the middle rubber seal between the two sliding panes still present? If not welded I'd take it (but if not welded screws should also be seen along the underside of the bottom rail). Non-welded sliders can be disassembled and weatherstripping replaced.
It may not be OEM but may be a period correct add-on like that in my GMC. Haven't seen those vertical "grab bars" on OEM sliders but have them on a avintage aftermarket slider. If the seams aren't welded there should be screws holding the pieces together. From what I can tell, manufactures switched to welding. Is a slider listed on your SPID? That window embossing can fade and be quite subtle but is present on OEM sliders.

Re: Sliding Back Window
DeadheadNM, The corners are welded. There are two rubber seals, each one is on the vertical seam where the 'grab handles' are located. And as I said in the original post, my 72 didn't come with this option so, no, the spid doesn't list the option. Thanks and let me know for sure if you want or don't want this. Take care. Larry

Re: Sliding Back Window
Midlifer, you are up. Let me know if you are still interested. I think we have established the window is not OEM. But it is in very nice condition, this truck has been garaged for many years, Thanks

Re: Sliding Back Window
IMO this is a good deal for a slider and it closely resembles an OEM piece. Good OEM examples seem to be far between. I used several to rebuild one: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=559651

Re: Sliding Back Window
I would sell it shipping included for $95 to your business. The box is a little over 5 feet long and weighs about 20 lbs. Last shipping est. was $45. Thanks
Critterman71, I will ship it to you too for $95 if GMC2500 4x4 passes. Thanks

I'm not sure on the criteria for a business address but I don't think it is a big deal, maybe 3 or 4 dollars more on the shipping. And like I said earlier, I will sell and ship it for $95 total for everything.
