1972 cab lights, clearance lights. Will these fit?

I am not near my truck and am not able to measure my cab lights or the rubber they sit on. Can you guys let me know if these are the same size as the ones that came from the fatory on my truck? Im not concerned about the LED part of this. Thanks.

I can't see well enough to see if you have a clearance light cab(?) Am assuming since you asked about the ones that came from the factory on your truck, not what could have come from the factory on your truck.

The compatibility listed in the item you posted the link to is 1973-1991.
They do look close to the fireman's caps, however, these are not the stock items. If you have a clearance light cab and these are the same lower diameter, they may work.

for comparison:

Just to make sure, do you have a truck that originally had roof lights? It's actually a different roof (different stamping) which is weird to me, but it's the reality.

If you don't, I'm not sure if the original style will work. They expect a little base stamped into the roof.

If not, these were super-popular in the late 60s and early 70s, and were actually the style you'd see more frequently. They have a name (Lucas?) but I cannot remember what it is. As you can see from this photo they have a curvature that works pretty well on a non-light cab roof.

Edit: re-reading your post I think you do make it clear you have the right roof. I'd delete my post but maybe someone who doesn't have the right one will benefit some day. Or nuke it, it's your thread!

If you look -really- closely at the mirror you can tell I'm nude when I took the photo.

The Chevrolet service replacement lens part number is 684662 for 70-72. It continues as the same service part number through at least 88. So you should be good to go if it fits the 73-91 applications as listed.

Thank you very much for all your help! Im considering buying them after the info you stated. If you were me and needed new lenses would you risk it and spend the money? Or just wait. Either way i need new lenses. Thank you again.

Re: 1972 cab lights, clearance lights. Will these fit?

They are not hard to find if you just want a set of lenses.
https://www.google.com/search?output...f+marker&btnK=

As an example single lenses are $4.91 ea plus shipping from an Amazon vendor and they are the cheapest there. So spend some time and nail down a true price.

This Ebay kit in question also includes LEDS, harness and gaskets. Its up to you and what quality you expect for the cost. With a 14 day return at your shipping expense it could be a reasonable deal.

Re: 1972 cab lights, clearance lights. Will these fit?

the same rubber pads were used from 69-91. In '69, the first year lenses were flat topped that people call "hockey puck" style. Then, the style changed to dome topped that people call "fireman's hat", and those were used on all CKs through '86 and RVs (87-91). The only question is if these Ebay lights are made the same as OEM, and it appears they are. The originals were "Guides" but "Signal Stat" makes replacement lenses.

While GM stamped a unique body panel for these lights, they fit perfectly well on any top in the same approximate location as factory. From '73-on GM simply mounted to top panel
