Using 1998 C2500 For 6 lug Discs

Has anyone tried using 1998 C2500 rotors on 73-87 spindle for 6 lug front disc brakes? I was doing a little research and the use the same inner (SET5) and outer (SET3) bearings on a 1.25 inch thick rotor.
The reason I'm asking is, I need a rear differential. I have an original six lug to replace the 1973 5 lug that it is my 68' now I really want to use parts I can go to NAPA and replace if needed and it would be cheaper than buying new 5 lug axles.

Re: Using 1998 C2500 For 6 lug Discs

Years ago I was thinking of doing a 6-lug disc brake conversion on my 70 C10. What I was looking at was using the 71-72 spindle with an early 90's light duty C2500 rotors. I can't remember which caliper was needed (I think it was the 71/72 caliper). From what I found, it appears it would work and there were some threads on here about this swap (it would have been from around 2003-2005 timeframe) that supported it. Looks like the part numbers are different for the 98 rotors but if the dimensions are right they should work. Hopefully someone else that has done this swap will comment.
