66 chrome hubcap paint color

What color was the center painted on a 1966 crome chevy hubcap? I am wanting to repaint mine and I cant tell if it was red or orange. Does someone know the correct color to paint them?

It's in between. I compared an NOS 66 cap to a few colors I had in the shop, and Duplicolor engine enamel DE1607 came pretty close. Not exact, but close enough to pass. My guess is a chrome cap is no different.

I used the same red/orange as above and painted the entire hubcap with ivory before applying the red/orange. Same ivory color as GM used in '64

Actually my 65' panel needed 6 different delete and cover plates that were missing. I found them plus the interior upper trim piece I was missing from boardmember1960chevypanel. He has a number of Burbs that he is parting out. You may want to look for his posts and ask what else he has...jon
PS: I look at the board first thing in the morning and last thing at night too.
