Re: Project truck dream 65"
The truck is looking great. It's all those small details that take a lot of time but are worth the effort in the end. I look forward to your updates.

Re: Project truck dream 65"
Trying to keep busy this weekend wrapping up the little things that never seem to get done. .Spent the last few days in the shop keeping to myself.
I installed 2 12 volt power sources for cell,G.P.S,etc.Also bent and fitted my wire conduit for the ac compressor wire, electric choke, and alternator.

Re: Project truck dream 65"
can you go into a little more detail about the wiring of the alternator? What type of connector is on the end? What gauge wire? Is that a spark plug boot over the end?
Thanks, Steven

Re: Project truck dream 65"
Thanks for the reply. Kinda what I figured and was going to try but, now, I see it can be done so it'll be a detail I will include.

Re: Project truck dream 65"
Made an adjustable Panhard bar to compensate for the 3" drop. I found a polished Billet tie rod end .....cut the bar in half and threaded it.
Off to the powder coaters tom morn.

Re: Project truck dream 65"
What a great build, just found this looking for info on the 283/700R combo and read all 27 pages. I see you scraped that idea some time ago. But the 383 /700R should be an even better combo and your workmanship on this project is top shelf with so many great ideas. Like everyone else here am really looking forward to see this on the road, best of luck and keep up the great work.

Re: Project truck dream 65"
Little unfinished projects today in the shop...why do they always take so d.. long?
Panhard bar, installed brackets for e-brake cable and reassembling my instrument cluster.I went with a soft blue on all my needles, not a fan or the red and orange. After having my housing powder coated, refurbishing my sockets and bezel...it all came together looking shiny new. Thanks to "Jason Wilson of Greenback Decal",I have a great refurbish and calibration on all gauges along with a new tack also built by Jason. He upgraded my oil pressure gauge to electric and supplied the sending unit for it and for the temp gauge as well. Man he does great work...Thank you for everything Jason...,stellar job!

Re: Project truck dream 65"
Outside and in the shop today getting more completed.Polished the right side exhaust to a mirror shine, and installed my fire insurance package...the one that's a guarantee....unlike insurance coverage at your local autoplan office.

Re: Project truck dream 65"
Very concerned about the cinder blocks... they can quite easily crumble which could seriously harm, maim or even kill you if you were under the truck when they gave out. If they were to give out when you weren't under the truck, there could be considerable damge to it. Jack stands buddy, like the fire extinguisher... insurance that actually works.
CliCluster looks great, getting closer and closer
