Firewall insulation question

What are you guys doing for firewall insulation? If you do the dynamat or Fatmat, do you go all of the way up the firewall and skip the factory style jute padding?

I put Dynamat and the foil insulation from menards all the way under the dash and then removed the Jute backing from the stock firewall padding as it is way to thick with Jute attached. I used the 3M super adhesive and applied the stock cardboard backing with glue last. I have a Vintage Air system but it was just installed and haven't had time to test yet, but I think I will have sound deadening as well as insulation. Just an idea- good luck!

So the dynamat by itself probably isn't enough?

My understanding is that Dynamat is just a sound deadener and not a good insulator. I live in Minnesota with extremes of temperature so need insulation also. If you have A/C or will install in the future than they are a lot more efficient with lots of insulation although a cab is not a large area.Maybe some other members will have some good ideas.
