No electrical power to the ignition/light don't work

I just installed a new battery. Its hot to the starter,,,,but have no power to the ignition block,,,nor do the lights come on. I just bought the truck and it was working fine found there was a bad cell in the battery,,,so replaced it. It was doing the same thing with the old battery. Ordered a wiring diagram for the truck,,,a '69 chevy c-10. I've checked under the dash,,fuses looked good,,,replace one. Thought maybe there is a fuse that contols the power to the fuse block?,,,,couldn't find one. Help,,,,,LOL,,,,thought maybe the power goes in the starter and out the other side to the fuse block? Thanks,,,Bill,,,
