Alternator Bracket Options
I am looking for another way to run my alternator. You can see in this old picture that it is mounted on the driver side to the header and bracket from the water pump. The heads have no mounting holes. Is there a way to run it on the passenger side like in this video?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzHsLKNGQbc Old picture of my set up. Thanks |

Re: Alternator Bracket Options
You can drill and tap mounting threads on any side of your head that you care to

Re: Alternator Bracket Options
I've mounted them low and on the passenger side with an adapted air pump bracket.
Or you could look here for some ideas. http://www.alangrovecomponents.com/S...Short_Pump.htm |

Re: Alternator Bracket Options
I have Alan Grove brackets for both my AC compressor and my alternator. They aren't the prettiest stuff, but they work very well.

Re: Alternator Bracket Options
The other option I thought of was to dump the power steering and go back to manual.

Re: Alternator Bracket Options
The video shows a long water pump setup, yours is a short water pump setup.
I could be wrong but i think the long water pump setup also requires holes in the head to mount the alternator
