Blazer top compatability?
My brother-in-law is junking his blazer. I believe it is a 76 or a 77 and the top appears to be in very good condition. I was just wondering if it was compatable with a first generation blazer? If so I am going to pull it before he trashes. If its not than it isn't worth my time because I don't plan on buying anything newer than a 72 anytime soon. If it's not compatable is there anybody out there that would be interested in it that can pick it up in CT.
I really don't want to ship this thing. Oh yeah I was also wondering that if the top doesn't line up will the rear hatch fit on a 69-72 blazer? Thanks in advance, Larry

The top won't fit correctly and I think the hatch is wrong to. Some of the hardware to attach and hatch hinges/latch/supports may be the same though.

Thanks CPNE. I knew you would be knowledgeable in this area. I'd hate to see it get junked but I don't have the room to store it. otherwise i would take it home with me.

73 and up blazer's don't have hatches. The rear window is in the tail gate. 73-75 were the only other years that had a full removeable top. Mid 75 on up only had a half removable top. Also 73 up is a little wider so no it won't work...
