Re: 1957 chevy family truck
The temp fix work ran her and she's not knocking oil pressures good I'm going to raise the motor and tranny up a bit. Guy at the auto parts store suggested cutting off old pan and welding it on the new one like a scrape plate

Re: 1957 chevy family truck
Glad you're back on the road.
I like the stance. What size tires? How much clearance between the front cross-member and the ground? Thanks |

Re: 1957 chevy family truck
I'm running smaller tires up front there 205 70 15 and 215 75 15 in the rear wrapped around some 1956 chevy wheels. if I had to guess I would say my cross member is about 4 inches off the ground. before I switch the tires the old tires gave it more of a tail dragger look. I miss it but these knew tires offer more clearance up front for steering

Re: 1957 chevy family truck
Found a,little puddle of trans fluid under my truck so pulled the trans replace the seal to the converter, next day another puddle turns out its the pump seal. So took it in to get fixed only to find out ny trans is a th200. All this time thought it was a th350. $200 to get all the seals replaced on the th200or $700 for a th350
