Water Leak - Help

I've got a bizarre water leak.

I've included a few photos. It's near the back of the block, just under the intake/exhaust manifold.

Anyone have any idea what is causing this leak? It leaks as soon as I put water in the radiator, with the engine NOT running.

Any possibility this was some type of "casting plug" that popped out?

I can't see it to well in the picture but it is it a freeze plug that let go?

A freeze plug is my best guess.

Does anyone know if there is indeed a freeze plug on the 250's located in the area of the leak? The LEAK is located approx 6" behind the carb, and just below a bolt that secures the intake/exhaust manifolds.

but I suggest taking off the intake and exhaust and doing further investigating

I know there is a freeze plug towards the front of the head, does anyone know if there is another one close to the "rear" of the head?

Okay...

I looked closer at the photo of the head, there are 3 freeze plugs and one of them is located exactly where the leak is coming from.

I'll be pulling it apart next week, then I'll know for sure.

Judging by how much water is coming out I'm almost sure its a freeze plug. Crack or blown head gasket wouldn't let that much out. New freeze plugs are cheap.
