Re: RIP: While it(truck) won't survive... I did
Glad your ok. Sucks when that happens because it's really hard to get what the truck is really worth, especially if you do alot of work. Hope it works out for you.

glad you are ok, trucks are just metal and rubber, maybe not easily replaced but certainly replaceable.
yep, same reason I put in 3pt belts. well, that and the wife would absolutely refuse to let the kids ride in it without them. but mostly because look at how hard that dash is!

Re: RIP: While it(truck) won't survive... I did
WOW! Glad you're OK, but it really breaks my heart to see what happened to your truck. You've got some great parts still there, and they will work great in whatever you decide to use them in.
Now............stand your ground with the insurance company on compensation. The truck was a classic, the accident was not your fault, and you need to be compensated fairly with accurate value numbers.

Oh dude, this breaks my heart. I'm glad you're ok, but damned if this still doesn't hurt looking at this beautiful truck in this condition!
Any chance you want to part out some things?

Re: RIP: While it(truck) won't survive... I did
Sorry to hear the bad news about the truck and glad you weren't hurt too bad. Was in the same boat back in 1996 with my 1st 63, so I can feel the pain of losing a labor of love. But looking forward to the new project!!

DAYYUM! That really sucks!! Glad to hear you're OK though. Hopefully you
(or more importantly the person that hit you) had insurance. |
