New guy

Been snooping around for prolly 10 years. Finally got a 67 c10 long bed or my dreams. Going to be converting it to a Chevy. I got 6 years to finish since the build is going to be for my son haha.

Thanks in advance for all the info this board has to offer. Also I've researched, but just want to verify. 67 front ends are completely interchangeable correct? I don't need to replace anything but the grill insert and headlights correct? Thanks

Re: New guy

Hey! from the Ozarks. I worked in Stockton for ten years. Left about a dozen years ago.

Nice looking truck. I may be out of step but I like the GMC grill.

Re: New guy

Hello from another newbe. As far as I know the core support will need to change to the the single headlight bucket. Other than that the same.

Re: New guy

Heads up. I am in the process of doing the same GMC to Chevy front end conversion. The core support is different; 4 bucket vs. 2. But depending where you buy your Chevy core support from be prepared to wild in the buckets yourself. Mine came from LMC and the larger single headlight buckets arrived separately. (no biggie if you have a welder).
In addition to the core support you will need grill, grill center support (it's different from GMC), two price grill trim, bottom rock deflector, headlight bezel, turn signal lens assy and covers and optional Chevy Bowtie emblem.
Sorry, I don't have any pics yet.

BTW - if anyone is interested, I will be selling my 67 GMC grille assy. compete.
