wheels with or without nubs or clips...

Unsure what style to send to powder coat...left ones with the clips and no nubs...or right ones without clips but with nubs...i have both complete sets....

are you gonna use hubcaps? if so which style do you have? and use those matching rims!!! if you have both cap it docent matter, if no caps either will look basically the same...

Caps are easier to find for the nub style.....in my opinion.

A couple other things to consider - the nub style are probably years newer than the clip style and may be in better condition. The nub style are "usually" welded together, while the clip style are frequently riveted together. This may or may not be a problem with future leakage. And lastly, the nub style may have "safety beads" pressed into the rim. I've never seen a clip style wheel with this feature. The safety bead is a depression in the rim that holds the tire on the rim if it goes flat. Early wheels have one bead on the front side. all newer wheels have safety beads on both the front and back of the rim.

As stated, the nub rims are easier to find caps for. If condition is the same, the hubcap factor should be enough to decide.

clip wheels are not disc brake compliant like the newer nubs are...

nubs it is then,..thanks guys...on another note...im still unsure of color..i did a quick edit on my phone with a few combo's...top is how it is now with the full caps, middle is black with small caps,..and bottom is red with small caps...thay all look good in my opinion,..whats your take on the color combo?
