4 nub wheel?
Ok, so... I discovered I have set of 4 of these steel wheels.
They are 15" x 7" with 5 on 5 bp and they have the 4 nubs for the hub cap. Are these the wheel/rim everyone is looking for? What makes them so desirable?

Re: 4 nub wheel?
They work with disc brake conversions on the pre-1971 trucks,... and they are probably 15x6.5 wheels.

Will most any dog dish style cap work or only certain ones?

Re: 4 nub wheel?
The 1/2-ton truck dog dish caps will work on these, and many passenger car caps.

Re: 4 nub wheel?
Cool, so the 67 or 68 silver caps work?
Then I am on the hunt for a set of these, either painted or silver. Special thanks to the member Elliot949 who I stole this image from

Re: 4 nub wheel?
The 67,68 hubcaps will not work on these wheels. They go on a wheel with clips.

Re: 4 nub wheel?
'68 was the last year for for wheels with clips to hold on hubcaps for C/20 & C/30 8-lug wheels. The C/10 hubcaps attach using nubs, beginning in prior years. They are in demand because all these years people tossed them out when they put custom wheels on and now thwy are hard to find.

Re: 4 nub wheel?
So, for this cap pictured below, you have to use a wheel with the clips... bummer
Besides the dog dish caps. What are some other caps that are used on these 4 nub wheels. What are people running?

The 1/2 ton version will work with the nub-style wheels. Same wheel. Same hubcap.

Re: 4 nub wheel?
Cool !
Funny you posted a picture of that wheel with that hub cap on that color truck. This is the 67 CST project truck that those wheels would go on. It will be a Short WideBox, 4 wheel disc brakes, V-8/TH350, 3.73 posi. I have not 100% decided on the color, whether to keep it the blue or change to a white.

Re: 4 nub wheel?
I learn something new everyday, I always thought 68 and earlier wheels were the clip type (1/2 & 3/4ton).
