Questions about master cylinder and prop valve set up.
Hi All,
I've got a 71 c10 longbed. Power brakes. Disks up front and drums in the back. I had a failing master cylinder and had my shop replace it. Brakes seem fine now, but the mechanic may have tweaked some things and I want to check in with you all to confirm that everything looks right. He "upgraded" the master cylinder with a new style. That's all he said he did under the hood besides bleeding and filling. The set up in my pics may be exactly how it was before I dropped it off, but I'm not sure. So, a couple of questions for you: 1) There's a fitting attached to the prop valve that looks like it splits pressure from the back of the master cylinder to the prop valve and to another line that runs through the firewall. Where's that line go? Does that seem right? 2) The port on the prop valve at the front and top is unused. That ok? Thanks in advance! -Jeff |

The line through the firewall is probably for an old school trailer brake controller. Before ABS, it was common to tap into the hydraulic system.
