Is there ANY possible reason to keep my original bed wood?
Still blue, but it's totally dried out and lots of cracks. Is there any scenario I'd want this in the future?
I'm not a hoarder, but invariably need things soon after I've tossed them. All new wood long since installed.

Unless you found a person wanting an original bed for whatever reason I'd say build a bench with it . Kinda keeps it around for posterity and makes use of it

I'm not the person to ask. I have tons of valuable stuff that will never be used.

Re: Is there ANY possible reason to keep my original bed wood?
I keep everything that's in good shape. My bed wood was not, so I burned it. I figure anyone wanting a bed that looks original can just paint my fancy oak and polished stainless strips... but why would they want to?
Original was pine... too soft for a workbench. Jim |

Yes, build the wood into something. I love picking up wood that other people toss into the burn pile.
