Re: 61K10 build
well it's out, gonna be fun putting it back in lol! gears look about what 50+ yrs old gears should look like. Doesn't look like it's ever been apart, so new bearings and syncros and back in it goes.

Re: 61K10 build
well trans is back in and shifts much smoother and is quiet in 4th gear. no leaks either!! Put a Borgenson power steering pump flow kit (to reduce pressure from pump to box) steering has much more feel by reducing the pump pressure, not as touchy. got some 16x6 rims for some skinny's from etrailer. they are for a trailer kinda like a smoothie rim but have nubs for a huge hub cap that i won't be using. their made for 1/2" lug studs but it looks like 7'16" will work as i have some heavy duty lugs. will need longer studs though.Iit never ends lol!

Kimble, you should drive the truck down here this weekend to visit your daughter and attend the Brother's truck show so that I can check out your pickup!

Re: 61K10 build
Jason--Not this weekend without AIR---Plus you guy's are on fire down there! Randy--I can drive to Nevada in 1hr and 15 minutes but to get to S calif it's 380mi. could only guess it would take my truck to get there. I guess if more of these tk's where built there would be more close to all of us lol. skinny's will be later.

Re: 61K10 build
Haven't did anything on the tk for awhile. need to put some 3.31 gears in the ft axle. been busy re-doing our kitchen cabinets. Wife hated the old ones. couple of pics-- old (dark ones) and new, and me in the corner of my veggie garden.

You need to be in the garage turning wrenches not sitting in the shade with a cool drink.
