New guy's intro.
Long time lurker to these boards, but just last weekend picked myself up a reason to post.
1961 Apache, all original south Sask. (Canada) farm truck in storage from the late 70's till last year. I picked it up off the second owner for what I consider to be a good deal, trailered it home (central AB) and am now starting to go through it. Just the necessary stuff right now to get it ready for commuting, the fun stuff will come later. I'm glad to be on board and I'm sure I'll be bugging you all with some questions along the way. As an aside, thanks for the awesome thread on tachometers. I have a weird affinity for those damn gauges and I've got a small pile going. I pick them up at swaps and my rules are simple 1. predate the 70's and 2. cost no more than $10. While I'm pretty happy with my little collection, none of which are for a 6cl so now I have an excuse to keep lookin' |

Very nice. Great plans to just get it road ready first. I would leave the paint as is.
