~1970 GMC Jimmy (Blazer) resale question~

Hello everyone,

Well I have come across a great opportunity (I think) but I need your guys opinion.

A buddy of mine has a 1970 GMC Jimmy (blazer) he wants to sell. He has done a lot of work to the truck. He has a front grill and hood of a 67 c10 on the it. He also welded the front bumper and welded the rear roll pan on the body. The work looks good! The rear lights and door handles and gas tank head are shaved as well. The work looks good as well! The interior looks good. Has all the original seats!

The only thing that is stopping me from buying this beauty is that it does not have a running motor or transmission in the truck.

My whole intent for this truck is to buy n sell it to someone who is going to put it back on the road.

He is asking 7k.

My question to you all- Would It be worth it to Buy this beauty to resell? Im located in Sf bay area so I think the market out here is competitive and worth it, but I need your guys second opinion.

Thanks Everyone!

Re: ~1970 GMC Jimmy (Blazer) resale question~

Is it a 2wd or 4wd?
Is it painted?
Is it put together?
What does it have for wheels and tires?

Re: ~1970 GMC Jimmy (Blazer) resale question~

I think it's overpriced. How much are you hoping to sell it for? I think you need to come up with your sales, price, and then back into how much you have to spend to get it ready to sell for that much.

Yeah I had a feeling it was a bit to much too. If I was to resell it I think I would put it at 10k idk. even that is way to high in my opinion.

So he's selling a highly modify/custom K5 shell for $7gs. Way over priced! You can't flip something like that until it's done.

Re: ~1970 GMC Jimmy (Blazer) resale question~

All I now is it's a Jimmy w/o any (Blazer) necessary. A Blazer is a Blazer and you are looking at a Jimmy. I don't assist flippers with values on these trucks. If you think you can make money, have at it. If you're not sure, leave it to one who will buy it to enjoy getting their hands dirty finishing it. You have to know your shtuff to make money flipping
