Hi beam indicator inverted from actual

GMC. When 2 outer headlights on low beam, red indicator on dash. When all 4 go to high beam (foot switch), indicator goes out.

So it's backwards, I just don't know how I got into that situation or what to do about it!

Is there an easy way to get the connector backwards at the foot switch, or any other kind of common cause for this?

I do have 4-headlight HID, but am loathe to say it since it'll get blamed. In that case, let me back up and say the green and brown wires are also inverted, so it's before the headlights themselves.

The foot switch on the floor gets flaky. Try cycling it 20 times and see if it helps.
Unless the problem comes from changing wiring...

Re: Hi beam indicator inverted from actual

Now I'm totally confused. Here's what I did.

- Verified that the foot switch alternates legs (green v brown) when pushed, which it does
- Verified that shorting the blue supply wire to brown does high beams
- Verified that shorting the blue supply wire to green does low beams

Dash indicator still backwards. So as a dirty hack I swapped the green and brown in the connector. That swapped them, but the DASH IS STILL INVERTED.

I don't get it.
