Check this out we tow a 25' trailer airstream. The accuair system lifts the rear to set height and lowers the front. Percect camber caster and toe in all the time.

If you can, can you tell us what kit or components you used on your 'burb. I'd like to have the same setup as you. If it's not too much to ask can you tell us how much the air ride system cost you also?

I used slam ss7" bags they were about $400. got a aluminum air tank mounted under the truck behind the gas tank it was about $100. the used viaair 400 compressor was $100. the accuair system was the big chunk cant remember exactly but 450 for the valve and 1200 for the ride height sensors and controller ? That's Canadian prices so we pay %20 more most of the time. I figure close to $2000 for the complete system. Its worth every penny to me. I had a pressure based system and I was actually thinking of going back to springs because it was so bad. My wife would come home and the truck would be sitting crooked. Now she can hit 2 and go... if the road turns rough hit 3 and she can clear any speed bumps with ease.

One other question did you have to c-notch your burb? I don't think I saw one but I could be wrong.

I did not notch mine as I am not convinced the strength would be adequate for towing. When the time does come a weld in step notch is what I will be using. There was a neat engineering post somewhere that showed frame notch and strength. That was what confirmed my thought on leaving the frame alone till it can be done properly.

looks like prices are a little more that I remember but I never bought a complete all new kit. The rear bags I bolted in place of stock coils not brackets used.

Finally got the roof rack screwed onto the 'burb, just gotta finish it off with the center pieces that go in the middle of it. Pops helped centering the damn thing. Here's the almost end result.

You should bring it to a Full Throttle Chico club meet sometime (ToysRUs parking lot, Saturdays at 6pm, Wednesdays at 9pm). My '72 C20 is in the body shop, so I won't be there until next weekend at least.
