Might be a beater, but a running, rolling chassis for that price........

And think of it.....you don't have to worry about her getting scratched at Wally World........

Is it a 20 or a 30? If it runs and doesn smoke it's a hell off a deal. If' it has a 60 front you could sell it for $1200 easy.

It is actually a half ton. As far as the front axle is concerned, i'm not sure which one it is. I'm not too firmiliar with the 4x4 units.

Does anyone know how to ID the front axles?

...or anywhere it snows for 4 months out of the year.

Is it just me, or does it look as if the box of the truck is cranked down at the cab. Box seems to slope down to the back - possible frame damage???

Oh well, for $100 there's probably lots of usable parts on it.

is it 6 lug? i've never seen that style of hubcaps, or 16" wheels on 1/2 ton 6 lug stuff. i'd almost bet the fender emblems arent factory. if it is 8 lug, post some pics of the front axle and its locating points. we can go from there on identifying it.

It will corporate 10 bolt front and rear axles. Not the strongest but they work with small tires like that, I wouldn't put too big of a tire on them. Those are factory hubcaps for 1/2 ton trucks throughout the mid-70's until they changed body styles later on.

MJN, are you sure? 1/2 tons would have 15" rims, and i've never seen a set of those caps on 15s, only 16s and 16.5s

The frame is actually fine, the box is just that rusted. When I take it around the back yard, the box bounces up and down. At one point the tailgate fell off because the hinges are gone.

It supposedly has a 305 according to the previous owner. It just seems to have too much pep to be a 305 though. So I might get out the paint scraper to reveal the casing numbers on the block.

it is a 6 lug, and is sports 15 inch rims. They just look big in the picture.
