Cool

I drive mine to work at least one time each week (including today) - I would drive it everyday but gas mileage kinda sucks real bad.

I drive my truck on weekends mostly. Head down to the beach with the dog, baby stroller and such. When I get it painted I will take it to work more. It is definitely the preferred mode of transpo on the weekends. It's just fun cruisin'.

Daily commuter vehicle.

A no optioned short wheelbase stepside with a 250 I-6 is just the tank I need to manuver through rush hour madness.

The GMC is normally a fair-weather vehicle, but sometimes it gets driven when the other (newer) Chevy is broke down, which fortunately isn't that often. I flooded it the other morning when it was damn cold out and had to recharge the battery. Once I got her running, she took me to work.
I drove it today. Supposed to get to 76 degrees today! WooHoo!

I drive mine almost everyday, sometimes I have to make excuses to drive it to work, but I use it around the farm to haul parts, cars, you name it. Lately it's been hauling parts up to the yard for itself, I'm going to take it apart when my patch panels come in and change cabs and repaint the whole thing. That's going to hurt to not be able to drive it.

Its the only vehicle I got. And I make sure she helps pay for her own upkeep. When I go out of town for work I get 42 cents a kilometer (yeah, this is Canada so you can do the math yourself, lol). I also use it for nearly everything else like helping people move, hauling stuff to the dump etc. etc. The truck hasn't paid for itself yet but one day...

Another thing, its nice to tear them down to the frame and have the leisure time to work on it when you want. I have to look for those gaps where I can replace a part here, a part there, it sure ain't easy!

My daughter drives our '69 C-10 every day to school...she loves driving it. My son and I drive it on the Saturday's to and from the motocross track or out to our favorite riding areas.
