Boy michael Waltrip took a ride didn't he?? He had trouble getting out of the car though. He sat upside down in the car for 10 minutes!!! Good thing it wasn't on fire. They finally turned the car back over like he had asked them to and he crawled right out. I sometimes wonder about all of these restraints that make it so much harder to get free of the car in a hurry.

I think its a pretty amazing coincidence that he won it on the exact day, one year after Sr. won the daytona 500. They are only the 3RD father/son combo to do this. The number 3 kinda gives me the chills.

I loved the race!! Jr rocked!!!Hated Micheal took that wild ride. Busch thought he was being smart by sticking with Tony but that didn't help him win any popularity contests. Jr took the busch race today too. hope this is just the beginning of a GREAT season for Jr.

new fan
I know, but I left the fold for many years. The last couple of years, I have found myself watching the races with more and more interest to the point that I now do not miss a race on Sunday. Congrats to Dale Jr. what a race. However, the conspiratist in me thinks there was something funky with the "Big One" It pretty much wiped out the Dodge contingent (Sorry used to be a huge King Richard fan back in the days of the blue and red 43 charger.)
Gotta love the racin' Sorry so long, I guess this was a confession of sorts

I was there! The race kicked ass! I was in the back stretch right in the middle, could see everything but front stretch, but had a big ass tv to see that. I was in Daytona Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights and the party didn't stop! AWESOME trip!

Wasn't it Wiley or something like that? Can't remember the name but he was driving a Dodge. They usually don't do to well in the early races. Seemed to be a pretty decent driver. Time will tell.

Scot Wimmer I believe drove that #22 car. You gotta remeber that Wawd Burton won the 500 in that #22 a few years back
Junior is just going to have an awesome year, the whole playoff thing is starting to grow on me, I think it'll get real exciting after the first 26 races. Oh in case you didn't know it i'm a Joooooonyer fan <<<see my avatar? |

I'm not a Stuart fan, but Tony's words about Andretti were justified. Andretti couldn't drive ducks to water and I have no idea why DEI keeps him around.

Well just for the record I believe that the 1 car is running a short season because it hasn't preformed up to their expectations
Oh well I tink it's better off that way

Jr. pulled the Big E move on him. Gets on the back corner and slides right up next to him then he dropped down and jsut flew by him. It brought back some great memories seeing him drive like that!
