Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

I have to say this Is getting pretty exciting right now , this chassis is going to fly together once Clem finishes the frame rails !

The Currie 9 inch came in today, narrowed with 35 spline axles, 4:11 gears and a tru trac differential and a polished center section ...im in LOVE !

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

I also picked up a few more pieces that my friend Rick Shull painted for me with the Valspar Auto paint. I copied SuperflySteiny on the Magnuson paint jobs, that was one of my favorite things on Tootsie. A few Porterbuilt pieces and I assembeled the front spindles (packed bearings and all, ready to bolt on)

What are you going to run for a front pulley system?

I just talked to them about the same setup. Sound like the logical system with a 2 belt system. I am not so sure about running boost with a 1 belt. They said it is about $2700.

Mike, it's always a thrill to watch your builds come together...all the pictures really make it top notch. Keep up the killer build, can't wait to see this thing complete and make its debut @ SEMA.

It's exciting seeing color put down. I'm sure it will be awesome when you're done.

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

Thanks guys !

I spent Saturday night working on the Wegner front drive setup, I have to say this is the easiest front drive setup that I have ever installed instructions are perfect and the parts fit exact ! I did however forget to paint a couple of the pulley covers ! LOl

I also started bolting together some of the air tank / brackets and started installing water traps and drains.

Did a test fit on the Porterbuilt watts link to the Currie 9 inch some modifications will have to be done to make it clear that huge aluminum center section...

Wegners set up has an 8 rib set up for the blower and there is zero belt slip. We ran my truck up to 18 psi and there was zero slip. It is hands down the best belt drive set up for a magnuson.
