reproduction step side rear fenders
My original step side fenders are rusty and beat up. I have looked for nice originals and have come up empty so I have started looking for new ones. They all seem to be about the same price but then you have to figure in freight shipping.
What I really wanted to know was if anyone has bought new ones? Which place did you get them from and how did they fit? I live close to LMC and their price is fair so that might be my best option. They also offer free freight shipping on purchases over $1000. |

Re: reproduction step side rear fenders
Repop is repop. If your close to LMC I'd just go with them.

Re: reproduction step side rear fenders
TJ's Chevy is right. Most vendors carry repop's by the same manufacturer so it really doesnt matter where you buy them. Just be prepared to spend some time fitting and massaging bolt holes to get them to line up right.

Re: reproduction step side rear fenders
The advantage for you is since you are close to LMC is that if you do buy them there, if you don't like how they fit, you can take them back and let them how they don't fit.

Re: reproduction step side rear fenders
and check the fine print, I think the free shipping doesn't apply to the freight ship items...
I could be wrong, but double check.

Re: reproduction step side rear fenders
Anything Oversize will not have free shipping....that's pretty much general for any place.

Re: reproduction step side rear fenders

Re: reproduction step side rear fenders
A friend of mine had this one for sale at the swap meet last weekend. Looked very straight and solid.

Re: reproduction step side rear fenders
I know this a late post but maybe It'll help someone else.
Having purchased parts of all shapes and sizes for my 64 C-10 over the last 8 years, if you're going to buy a big item, or a lot of items, have the patience to wait fore the big sales. They usually have the big sales around the major holidays or things like veterans day, memorial day etc. Black Friday coming up will more than likely also be a huge sale. I say this because buying those big stepside fenders are expensive.. also $100.00 in shipping if I remember correctly for just 1?! Save your cash, trust me, if you're going to want show truck quality, you'll be spending more than enough cash, save where you can. See ya! Alex |
