making my own 60-62 power steering adaptor
Hello everyone.
I've been looking for an adapter for attach the power steering box to 60-62 x-frame. Then there not much information like 63-66 frame. So I decided to make one myself. Let's see what happen. |

You could build your own, but Captainfab unit is sure nice and easy to install.

Manual steering box before and after remove from the truck.
The 3 bolts on the chassis indicate the holes where the manual box mounted to. |

Re: making my own 60-62 power steering adaptor
I use the card board to draw 2 lines with 90 degree to each other.
One line is for steering shaft line and the other line for pitman shaft line. Then I lay the old manual steering box on the card board. Make sure steering shaft and pitman shaft are lined up with the line on the card board. And mark where the pitman arm is. Also mark 3 holes for the manual steering box. |

Then I do the same for Power steer box.
Power steering pitman arm is a bit shorter than manual steering pitman arm. |
