3rd brake light

Putting in a Suburban 3rd brake light. Have the light grounded. Where do you attach the wire to activate the light when braking?
Thanks

Re: 3rd brake light

I would pick it up off the brake light switch.

Re: 3rd brake light

white at the switch. dont use the brown, its parking lights, dont use the yellow or green those are turn/brake, your third brake light will flash with whichever turn signal wire you use.

as jimmy said, get it at the switch, it is the white.

Re: 3rd brake light

With a test light one side is hot all the time and the other side the switch will only be hot when the pedal is pushed. That is the side you need.
