New Guy

I have been stalking the forum for awhile, but never posted. So I am testing the waters.
I have a what I believe to be a 1968 C20. The title says it is a 1967. The VIN number says it is a 1968. The front fenders have side markers, but the box does not. It is an older poorly done restoration- like fake fur interior. The paint is peeling off too, but the only rust is just starting in the rockers. I bought the truck when I moved to town and sold my 2004 2500HD Crew cab, long box. It was just too big for my needs. I bought the C20 just to have a truck around to haul stuff. Now I have started fixing it up some. Not the first time this has happened. Anyhow, I have learned a ton from this form. A lot of my questions have been answered just searching the posts. So, Thanks Guys

Re: New Guy

WELCOME!!!!! You will find a wealth of knowledge here.

As for your vin, if the rosette rivets have not been tampered with, your cab is whatever it says it is, in this case, 1967 model year. The title is a piece of paper that is printed from someone typing information into a computer, and it can and has been proven to be wrong!

Look for your frame stamped vin on the topside of the drivers frame rail, located in the engine compartment.
